Procrastination, disorganization, unfinished projects?
Inertia, overwhelm, difficulty making decisions?
Constant rushing, financial problems, frequent late fees?
Disappointed or worried friends and family?
Sense of not living up to your potential?
Do you struggle with any of these common ADHD concerns?
As a fellow ADhDer, I get it.
I’m Dr. Kim Kensington (aka the Procrastination Doctor), a psychologist and ADHD coach in Santa Monica, CA. I work with entrepreneurs, creative types and procrastinators of all sorts, providing ADHD assessments, ADHD coaching, psychotherapy, business coaching, compassion and laughter.
My story is like so many others. I saw numerous psychologists and psychiatrists, tried antidepressants, bought countless books on time management (and even read a few), explored hypnosis, hired personal trainers, tried special diets, and took vitamins — all in an attempt to boost my energy, stop procrastinating, keep my home clean, and finish the many projects I started. Oh, and get a “real job.”
Then I was diagnosed with ADHD, and everything changed.
No longer did I try to force myself into a mold that didn’t fit. Once I understood why I did (or didn’t do) certain things, I was able to adjust my actions, my environment, and my self-perception. I’m still a work in progress, but the journey is now very different.
That’s why I coach adults with ADHD. The right support can lead to truly transformative change. I really understand. I know you don’t just need to “try harder.”
If you’re still reading, I’m impressed — and would love to hear from you!
